Inspiration
A NEW COLLABORATIVE VIDEO-ARTS PROJECT Raising Money for War Victims in Uganda 12seconds for Peace is a collaborative video-arts project designed to raise the energy of manifestation for peace in the world and to create a unique collective artwork based around the 12seconds TV social-networking site. It’s ultimate goal is to tour and exhibit the resultant work; crafted by a leading contemporary artist, to raise funds for Humanity Healing’s project in Uganda that aims to provide sustainable solutions for war victims. To date we have had a number of video contributions from musicians, artists and writers of some repute and it’s growth and spread has been nothing short of spectacular in its short life so far. It has drawn interest from Bollywood stars and supermodels, major musical recording artists and significant voices within the peace movement globally – some of whom have promised to contribute works. It is currently featuring in the March edition of Om-Times magazine and is garnering huge popular support within the peace and spiritual activism movements. 12seconds for Peace is a non-profit making video-arts project created and developed by author and artist Steve Gooch and is an outreach project of OmAhHum – Steve Gooch’s spiritual education company founded in 2006. This is where the story began.... August 7th 2008 the day before the opening ceremony of The Olympic Games in Beijing. He claimed the world's greatest LIGHT PROTEST, when at least 100 million people from all over the world will light a candle and say YES to freedom in Tibet! People around the world lit a Candle at their homes, workplace or in a public place. This light protest was seen by billions on TV screens all over the world on the day the Beijing Olympics open. They stated that 'This is not against the Olymipcs or anything else for that matter, we stand for Freedom. Period.'
